After Flight 77 hit the Pentagon on 9-11, a Day Care supervisor was trying to figure out how she could get all the babies and toddlers in heavy cribs out of the building. In the middle of all the chaos and alarms a Marine came to check on them and quickly left, leaving the supervisor feeling even more helpless. He soon returned, however- with 40 other Marines. Quickly they picked up toddlers, and pushed the cribs 3/4 mile away to a park close to the Patomic. They put all the cribs in a circle with the toddlers in the middle. Each Marine placed himself around the perimeter and stood guard until every child was picked up by their parent.

There is a lot to be said about being part of a group that cares, like the Marines...
